Victor Humberto Narro Scholarship

The Victor Humberto Narro Scholarship provides scholarship support to the College of Humanities and Sciences students with majors in the Department of Political Science and/or the Department of History and who are in good academic standing.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA – Applicants must be:

• Part of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program (or whatever future name such program goes by), and/or
• Interested in migration studies, and/or
• Involved in work or volunteerism at an organization with a mission to serve immigrant communities.

Preference shall be for applicants who are rising sophomores.

REQUIRED MATERIALS AND ASSESSMENT CRITERIA:

• Applicants should submit an essay of 500 words that will be used to assess their eligibility and suitability for the Narro scholarship. The essay should describe their experience as a recipient of the DACA program and/or their interest in migration studies and/or their work or volunteerism at an organization with a mission to serve immigrant communities.
