Boxer Scholarship

The Boxer Scholarship was established with a gift from College of Engineering alumnus Patrick Fowler, Ph.D. (B.S.’11), to provide scholarships for undergraduates in the College of Engineering based on merit both inside and out of the classroom. Recipients, or “Boxers,” are characterized by their selfless actions in response to extraordinary circumstances in service of their family, friends, and/or community despite sustained hardship and/or adversity, while remaining involved and dedicated engineering students (regardless of academic performance). There is no GPA requirement.

The fund is awarded by application or nomination by a faculty or staff member. The scholarship may be used to recruit incoming freshman or awarded to current students. The scholarship may be renewed provided the recipient remains in good standing.
