Fred P. Orelove Scholarship in Disability Studies

The Fred P. Orelove Scholarship in Disability Studies was established by friends, family and colleagues to honor Fred Orelove, Ph.D., who retired in 2011 after more than 30 years of service to the VCU School of Education as a professor of special education and disability policy and executive director of the VCU Partnership for People with Disabilities.

The scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in the disability studies certificate program with demonstrated leadership qualities and an articulated vision for how they will support the inclusion of people with disabilities in their work and community endeavors.
