Dr. Le Etta Lee Pratt Merit Scholarship

The Dr. Le Etta Lee Pratt Merit Scholarship was established in 2000 by Le Etta (Lee) Pratt, an emeritus faculty member in the School of Education. The scholarship honors the memory of her mother, Laura Gooch Pratt, who began teaching in 1926 as an elementary school teacher and, for many years, was a special education teacher. The scholarship is awarded to meritorious, incoming, full-time freshmen in the School of Education pursuing a degree in special education. Applicants must indicate an interest in teaching children in special education classrooms. The scholarship can be renewed for an additional four years providing the student remains in good academic standing.
