Virginia Community Healthcare Foundation Scholarship

The Virginia Community Healthcare Foundation (VCHF) scholarship will support full-time M.S.W. students with a demonstrated interest in pursuing clinical practice in the VCU School of Social Work. Preference will be given to students with demonstrated financial need and those who are Virginia residents. The scholarship shall be awarded during a student’s first year of their MSW program and will be renewable through their second year provided the student remains in good academic standing.

Recipients of this scholarship are eligible for VCHF’s mentoring program while enrolled. If a student chooses to attend any outside educational opportunities offered by VCHF (which are not required), there will be no fees charged to the student and VCHF will cover any reasonable travel expenses for the student. If, upon graduation, the student becomes an employee of a member community health center, VCHF will consider a $10,000 signing bonus for the student upon employment.
