Bhuller Family Scholarship for First Generation Students
The Bhuller Family Scholarship for First Generation Students was created with a pledged gift from VCU School of Medicine housestaff alumna Neena Singh, M.D. (H.S.’83), and Gurpal S. Bhuller, M.D., to provide support for full-time undergraduate or graduate students with demonstrated financial need. Priority is given to first-generation college students who have overcome barriers to access, and will give preference to those who came from a financially disadvantaged background, who are first generation college students, or who have faced some other form of inherent adversity. Additional preference will be given to DACA or undocumented students who meet the criteria in Virginia statute 23.1-505.1.
