Thomas Carlton Memorial Fund

The Thomas Carlton Memorial Fund was established in memory of Thomas Carlton, D.S.W., a professor and former acting dean of the School of Social Work from 1973-1992, with funds given by his family, friends and colleagues, along with a generous gift from the Virginia Organization of Health Care Social Workers. The scholarship supports full- and part-time M.S.W. generalist students who have completed at least one semester of the program, or specialization students who demonstrate a commitment to practice in the health field; demonstrated financial need as determined by VCU Office of Financial Aid; also based on academic achievement.
