Herbert Hirsch Scholarship in Human Rights

The Herbert Hirsch Scholarship in Human Rights was created by family, friends, colleagues and former students to honor the work and memory of Dr. Herb Hirsch, Ph.D., who taught in the VCU Department of Political Science for 38 years and whose research furthered the basic rights of people around the world. The scholarship supports students in the College of Humanities and Sciences, preferably a major or minor in political science. Students with strong concentrations of study in the area of human rights and/or genocide may also be eligible. Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.8.
