Charles Allan Harris Merit Scholarship in Cinema

The Charles Allan Harris Cinema Scholarship was established in 2000 by Dr. Louis and Mrs. Ruth Harris to provide financial assistance to deserving film and photography students in the VCU School of the Arts. Dr. and Mrs. Harris established the award in honor of their son, who earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications from VCU. He now runs a successful film production company in Richmond. The scholarship is awarded to meritorious, full-time students majoring in cinema in the School of the Arts. The scholarship can be renewed provided the student remains in good academic standing as determined by the School of the Arts.
