Mary Lou Gibson Scholarship Fund in Mathematical Sciences

This scholarship was established by J. Larry Gibson in honor of his wife, Mary Lou Gibson, who died on Feb.11, 2002. She was a retired adjunct instructor, and in 1986 became the first teacher-in-residence in VCU’s Department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics. The recipient must be a rising junior or senior mathematics major with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and must demonstrate intent to teach mathematics.
