Mel C. Whipple Scholarship

The Mel Whipple Scholarship was established by Mel. C. Whipple (M.S.W. ’72/SW), an alumna who maintained a successful private practice in the Richmond, Virginia area. The scholarship is awarded to full- or part-time M.S.W. generalist or specialization students who possess an understanding of African-American culture and who have an interest in pursuing a career in clinical practice in mental health.
