AANAPISI Summer Scholars Scholarship

With funding from the federal AANAPISI grant, the AANAPISI Scholarship will be awarded to students who have contributed to the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community through their personal experience either (i) as an individual identifying as AAPI and/or (ii) supporting individuals who identify as AAPI or the AAPI community.

This scholarship is only available to students who are participating in the 2025 Summer Scholars program, and it is applied to the cost of Summer Scholars.

Supplemental Questions
  1. Describe in a brief essay (minimum of 250 words): (i) challenges, obstacles, strengths, or accomplishments you have experienced as an individual who identifies as AAPI; or (ii) your experience in supporting individuals who identify as AAPI or the AAPI community and helping them either overcome challenges and obstacles or celebrate their identity. Your answers must be in your own words. The use of Artificial Intelligence or Large Language Model software (ChatGPT, Bard, Grammarly, etc.) could impact the outcome of your submission.
  2. Are you in the VCU Summer Scholars program? This scholarship is to help supplement the cost of Summer Scholars, which is a residential program in July and August for incoming first-year students. Students must apply and be accepted to participate.
