Swank-Divine Scholarship

The Scholarship was established by Mary Ruth Divine, a 1963 graduate of RPI. The fund will support scholarships for full or part-time M.S.W. students, with a preference given for students studying aging or interested in working with aging populations.

The Swank-Divine Fund supports scholarships for M.S.W. students at the VCU School of Social Work in nine separate practice areas:

-Anti Racist social work practice
-Social work with those who identify as gender nonconforming
-Social work practice in substance misuse prevention and/or interventions
-Social work practice at the intersection of public health
-Preventing or intervening with those experiencing intimate partner violence
-Gerontology social work or work with aging populations
-Social Work practice in mental and behavioral health
-Military social work
-School social work

Supports full- or part-time M.S.W. students in good academic standing (GPA of 3.0 or higher), with demonstrated financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid.
