Baldacci Student Experiential Learning Endowed Fund

The Baldacci Student Experiential Learning Endowed Fund grants academically promising, and hardworking students of diverse areas of study and backgrounds with financial support so they can pursue internships, conferences, research, domestic or study abroad, and/or social entrepreneurship opportunities. Applicants must be undergraduate rising juniors or rising seniors, in good academic standing, and be majors in the College of Humanities and Sciences. **For the 2024 application cycle, as the pandemic has impacted the availability of some international travel experiential learning opportunities, we encourage applicants to consider submitting an application to fund virtual or alternative experiences in addition to those outlined below.

Requests can be made for, but are not limited to, research support, internship stipends, conference attendance, domestic or study abroad opportunities, and/or social entrepreneurial incubator support. The Baldacci Student Experiential Learning Scholarship is not intended to be used toward tuition. If a student chooses a program that combines tuition with the program fees the VCU tuition rate for those credits will be deducted from the total amount of money requested. If the tuition rate at the host institution is above that of VCU this scholarship will cover the differential. Funds are awarded at the discretion of a Dean’s Office committee. Awards will not exceed $5,000. All Baldacci Student Experiential funds for the 2024-25 cycle should be spent by June 15, 2025.

**This award will be delivered via Direct Deposit. All awards will be subject to applicable federal and state income taxes.

*Special note: awards made in support of international travel will follow restrictions/guidance listed at together.vcu.edu/students under the heading ‘student international travel planning.’
