Marika Byrd Scholarship in Rehabilitation

The Marika Byrd Scholarship in Rehabilitation, formerly the Marika L. Byrd Scholarship for Persons with Disabilities, was established in 2011 by Ms. Byrd, a graduate of the Nontraditional Studies Program. She served as a member and former president of the Nontraditional Studies Alumni Council at VCU. The scholarship is awarded by the VCU Office of Student Accessibility and Educational Opportunity (SAEO). Students with any disability as defined by and registered with the SAEO are eligible. When possible, a member of the VCU Rehabilitation Research and Training Center will participate in the awards process.
