Yvonne Engleson Rodriguez Benner Scholarship

Established by family and friends in honor of Yvonne Engleson Rodriguez Benner, an active and admired member of VCU’s Board of Visitors and an advocate of higher education who passed away in August 2001, this scholarship is awarded based on merit to a Hispanic student majoring in journalism, government, English, Latin American studies, international affairs or a related field. The scholarship may be renewed for an additional three years provided the student remains in good academic standing.

Please note: If the current recipient is renewed per the terms of this scholarship, applications to the current cycle will not be considered. We do encourage applications during each cycle should the current recipient not be renewed.
