Daniel P. Jordan Scholarship In History

The Daniel P. Jordan Scholarship was established by William H. Mattox to honor the teaching, mentoring, scholarship and inspiration of Daniel Jordan, Ph.D., former professor and chair of the department. Jordan is also known for his leadership as the former executive director of the Thomas Jefferson Memorial Foundation. The recipient of this scholarship may be either a graduate or undergraduate history major who demonstrates the qualities Dr. Jordan inspired in his students and advisees—academic excellence, a passion for the study of history, leadership and integrity. The recipient must be in good academic standing.

Students do not apply for this scholarship. All nominations and selections are by History Department faculty and committees.
