Kym Franklin Scholarship in Theatre

This scholarship is awarded to an outstanding student majoring in Theatre Design/Technical Production. Established in 1999, the Kym Franklin Memorial Scholarship honors the memory of Kym Franklin, a 1991 magna cum laude graduate of the Theatre Department at Virginia Commonwealth University. Kym was an accomplished scenic artist and painter who worked with TheatreVirginia and Heritage Repertory Theatre. She devoted several years to the Alabama Shakespeare Festival where her talent was enlisted as their Master Scenic Artist.
